The Tommy Tee
Pattern Tester Application
We are calling for pattern testers to test our Tommy Tee pattern for kids.
PATTERN INFO:
The Tommy tee is a drop shoulder, oversized, boxy tee. This tee is a wardrobe essential that pairs well with almost anything! This is a gender neutral sewing pattern that ranges from size newborn to 16 years.
The tee has been made with comfort in mind, ensuring a garment that your child can play, adventure and explore the world in.
The Tommy tee comes in 3 views:
+ View A: Short sleeve
+ View B: Long sleeve
+ View C: Double sleeve (short sleeve layered over a slimmer long sleeve)
+ Optional double neckband

SIZING:
The pattern comes in sizes newborn - 16 years.
The intended length of the tee should fall between the hip and full hip. There are simple instructions on how to lengthen or shorten the tee to achieve an alternative length. The intended length of the short sleeve should fall at the elbow.

FABRIC:
Light to heavy weight knit fabric will work for this pattern. Sweatshirt fleece, french terry and jersey are all great options. We like to work with natural fibers as much as possible and look for fabrics that have a high percentage of natural fiber in the knit. Keep in mind the weight of the fabric will affect the look and feel of the garment, a heavier fabric resulting in a more structured tee and a lighter fabric resulting in a tee with more drape.
NECKBAND:
We highly recommend using a fabric that has a stretch percentage of at a minimum 50% or more for the neckband. Our preference is to use a ribbing fabric which usually has a stretch percentage of 75% or more.
Our aim is to make all our patterns simple and understandable enough for even beginners to use. To do this we provide step by step instructions and try to break down the process and hold your hand through it. Due to this, the testing call is open to all levels of sewing and we greatly appreciate feedback on how well the instructions guided you.
We rate the pattern itself as a beginner pattern.
The pattern is supplied as a large format A0 PDF file, a print at home PDF and in a projector format PDF.
TESTING PERIOD
It is a 2 week testing period: Monday September 14 - Monday September 28.
